3 Ways To Promote Your Music

Are you a musician who is trying to get your name out there and your music heard? If so, you might want to take a few moments of your time to review the following ways to promote your music.

Hand Out Demos At Concerts

Attend a concert of a band that is in the same music genre that your music falls in. This is how you will make sure that you are targeting the right kind of crowd for your music. Take as many demos with you as you can. You might want to purchase your tickets for the lawn section so it is easier to walk around and mingle with people. While you might not make any money off of those demos, you might get yourself a lot of new fans who could later turn into fans who pay to hear your music.

Keep An Active Social Media Page

You have to do more than just start a social media page for your music. You really need to keep up with it. It needs to be an active page that will continuously remind your followers that you are there. To keep your fans interested in what can be found on your social media page, you will want to post your songs, videos of performances at paying gigs, and videos of you talking to your fans about your music and the music scene in general. You might also want to post pictures of your band, your equipment, and some pictures of you with your adoring fans. Don't forget to talk about the genre of music that your music falls into. It does not always have to be about you. It might be easier to keep your followers on your page if you are talking about current events, changes, or problems within the industry.

Show That You Are More Than Just A Musician

Fans want to follow musicians whom they enjoy listening to, whom they admire, and whom they feel they can personally relate to. Therefore, you will want to make sure that you are being more than just a guy with a guitar. You need to get involved in a charity, support a cause, or start spreading goodwill towards your fellow man by donating, and advocating others to follow suit, to homeless shelters. You can even volunteer in your community. When people notice you for exceptional things that you are involved in, they are more likely to not only listen to your music, but follow your career as well.

As you can see, there are some easy ways to promote your music in the most effective way possible.
